Day of the Dead 2011

This Friday saw the great Day of the Dead celebration in the borderland. We had an awesome, festive, and music-filled night. Nearly everyone was in costume and the crowd was ready to shake their calaveras.

with the mad scientist, a luchador/saxophonist, and Big Bird... it's a PARTY

Tone Tone went on at 10:30, after the flamenco dancers, and we lit the stage on fire with our aptly-named opening song “Dia De Los Muertos.” The crowd was shortly on their feet thanks to the pumping cumbia beats, as we kept the sounds going for over an hour!

~ Special thanks to Rocio for joining us with her rhythm guitar; Richie with his saxy melodies; as well as the itinerant Maus who lent us his conga beats.
